The Senior Repertory Company, created in 1999, offers teen actors the opportunity to seriously study the craft of theatre. We seek company members for whom personal growth and learning about the fundamentals of theatre are a priority. The Senior Youth Repertory Company emphasizes the collaborative aspect as well as the process of theatre, and technique rather than "spectacle."
Attendance at all workshops, master classes, rehearsals and performances is mandatory. Although some conflicts can be accommodated with advance notice, the Youth Repertory Company is a commitment that requires priority. Students are encouraged to learn about all aspects of theatre production, and work internships are available in directing, technical/design, and teaching drama. For almost 20 years, NHTP alumni have gone on to study many different aspects of the performing arts, as well as education. A number of Youth Repertory Company alumni often return to teach NHTP summer programs, and perform in Main Stage productions.
